There are an infinite number of potential food sources for termites around a home.Your first step in identifying potential feeding sites is to understand what exactly it is, that termites are looking for when foraging.

Termites survive by digesting the cellulose contained in timber and other natural fibres. This includes any processed products made from timber, like paper or cardboard, and can include such things, as clothing that might have originated from cotton which also contained cellulose.

It has been suggested that termites are able to navigate their way through the soil to food sources by detection of carbon dioxide being released by the rotting matter. This being one of the reasons for termites attack, allows us to plan them out of our homes and lives.
